TOMS Men’s Pico Loafer

I love my toms shoes. I’ve worn my toms shoes forever now. I’ve looked after them for many years. I don’t really like going shopping but I’m not opposed to the idea, I just don’t think I should have to, but these make it so I don’t need to.

I sized down because I used to have a problem with my last pair. They would just fall off, I’d be annoyed by my shoes slipping off. I got myself a new pair. I don’t look forward to going shopping for shoes anymore… I think I’m pretty good about getting them replaced when they get tattered. However, I wouldn’t be bothered about the shoes being taken off me as long as they haven’t been replaced. It makes no difference to me and I only ever have one or two pairs of shoes and usually just replace my toms shoes every few years.

I haven’t had to replace them every year like some other brands that have poor quality (not long ago, I got some that came without the stitching in place that keeps them from ripping). These have held up.

But it was this thing that my little toms had, and it just started to change my whole thinking about what a shoe is. It was, like, if you really want to wear a shoe, you need to put pressure on the heel to open the shoe, and open that to a kind of like, a high-end shoe. So when I tried to put on some cheap, mid-range, boring, kind of box stuff, I’m like, “I think it’s weird for me to put pressure on my heel, but that’s what I want to do. So, I’m not really going to try to wear a $40 pair of toms until I figure out how to do that in my shoes.

You know, it’s the same deal as what clothes are and what they should be — you see things that are common, that you can relate to, that you’ll relate to, that you see on the street and you feel like the things they’re wearing — just kind of relate to. Things that you see on the street make sense. Things that you see on the street, and that’s how I first found these. I love the style and they work just right.
